Sensors and Communication Systems    October 1996 to December 1997

Scientist/Engineer, Delco Products Systems (Military programs), Parts Manager

Provide technical component engineering support to the Delco Products Systems program office in preventing, solving and coordinating part problems.

The two keys Delco programs are the Low-Altitude Navigation and Targeting Infrared for Night (LANTIRN) and the F-16 Expanded Enchanced Fire Control Computer (EEFCC).

Task Descriptions:
1) Identify and resolve parts obsolescence issues.
2) Coordinate Component Engineering activities and report status to program manager.
3) Support LANTIRN during its production phase.
4) Support EEFCC program during the Demonstrate / Validate phase.



Project Engineer, F-15 Parts Management      February 1991 to October 1996
Assign to the F-15 Radar Program Office.  Provide technical team management to solve and prevent parts problems in Procurement, Manufacturing, Test, Reliability, Quality and Obsolescence.  Carry-out
MIL-STD-965 requirements (Parts Control Program for Military programs).  Broad technical, information technology, people and communication skills.  Coordinate parts related problems including shortages, substitution of parts, request of deviations and waivers, incoming inspection and screening for non-conforming components, and purges.  Integrated Product Team member on the F-15 Saudi/Israel and APG-63U programs representing F15 Parts Management. Assist electronic and electrical engineers in the selection and approval of parts during the design phases.  Also, I am responsible for the implementing the Parts Control Program for the new the F-15 Israel program.  Committed to the Integrated Product and Process Development (IPPD) approach to design systems within Hughes.


 Project Engineer, Reliability & Maintainability Group           December 1987 to February 1991
Responsible for establishing and maintaining a Parts Control Program in accordance with MIL-STD-965, Procedure I & II for Reconnaissance, Special Advance, and Head-Up-Displays programs.  The purpose of the Parts Control Program is to control the selection, qualification, verification / acceptance testing, documentation and application of parts use on the programs.  In addition, I was responsible of overseeing the Reliability Program in accordance with MIL-STD-785 for the Head-Up-Display programs.


Electro-Optical and Data System Group:
Project Engineer, Components Laboratory    May 1987 to December 1987
The Component Laboratory representative to the F-15 Radar Program.  Responsible for negotiating budgets, statements of work, and schedules and maintain visibility of the laboratory technical performance against the negotiated goals.  Being able to solve parts problems between Radar Systems and Electro-Optical and Data System groups.


Head, Semiconductor Group     January 1985 to May 1987
 Supervised semiconductor components engineers within the Components Engineering Department and provided direct technical support to airborne, ground, and space systems throughout Hughes Aircraft Company.  Such programs included A6-E, A0A, EN-6, BOB-27, F-15 & F/A-18 Radars, and TOW Cobra.  In addition, provided support to upper management in fulfilling the goals and responsibilities of the Components Engineering Laboratory.


GIDEP Analysis Coordinator, Technology Support Division  February 1984 to January 1985
Reviewed all Government/Industry Data Exchange Program (GIDEP) Alerts to determine their impact and applicability to the company.  Worked with capacitors, relays, switches, and hardware components engineer specialists.  Coordinated technical input received from other Hughes groups to arrive at a overall company impact status.


Component Engineer, Technology Support Division   May 1981 to February 1984
Discrete semiconductor and microcircuit device specialists.  Familiar with the requirements specified in MIL-M-38510 and MIL-S-19500.  Worked with the design community to select components and with the part test laboratories to thoroughly test the parts in the anticipated severe operating environments.  Supported the documentation group that prepared performance, qualification, and quality assurance, and control specifications / standards.  Assigned to major high-reliability programs to provide very close failure analysis laboratories.  In addition, worked with government military specifications such as MIL-STD-965, MIL-STD-454, MIL-D-87157, MIL-E-5400, and MIL-Q-9858A, and many others Department of Defense specification.

HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE SKILLS:

Generate reports, cost schedules, work status sheets, detail planning analysis  and more using the IBM and Macintosh hardwares and softwares.  Familiar with softwares like Microsoft Word, Dbase III Plus, Microsoft Excel, MacDraw Pro, Microsoft Powerpoint, Lotus cc-Mail, Microsoft Office 97, etc.
